Vernon Lafreniere

Vernon Lafreniere | ARNP

Psychiatry | LMS

Board-certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority, Vernon is an experienced specialist in medication management.

I graduated from the University of Washington Psychiatric ARNP program. I have a prosperous 22 years of experience in the mental health field. While I limit myself to adult clients, I see all clients with no limits to specific diagnostic criteria. Bring me any issue from psychosis and chemical dependency to work/family-related stress, and together, we find solutions.

I never give up; no problems are overwhelming or too small to interest me. While my first love is time spent with clients, I occasionally take Psychiatric ARNP students helping them hone their skills. I have also worked as a Clinical Instructor/Associate Professor for Shoreline Community College School of Nursing, supervising BSN students at Harborview Medical Center.

​I support patients in gaining greater insight, developing more effective coping skills, and empowering them to manage life’s complex challenges. Using a holistic approach to cognitive-behavioral techniques and medication management, we will find the right combination to meet your needs.

Together, we will find the best treatment options based on your specific situation and preferences. As the leader of our loose group of individual practitioners, I encourage input that may help us provide better and more comprehensive care for our clients.

Dr. Abraha received his doctorate of medicine from Vinnytsia University Medical School in 1991. He is fluent in English, Russian, Amharic, and Tigrinya.
Dr. Abraha is compassionate and highly competent in treating adult psychiatric illnesses through evaluation and medication management.

Lisa Morgan | Office Assistant

Lisa has extensive experience as an office assistant in the mental health field and has been employed at Northwest Psychiatry since 2007. She works remotely and is available to provide a quick response to outreaches. Feel free to email Lisa@nwpwc.org with any questions or scheduling needs.

David Reynolds | TMS Technician

David, our TMS technician, brings a varied background with a degree in biochemistry and an interest and focus on mental health and TMS.

He is dedicated to supporting those who suffer from difficult-to-treat mental health issues on their journey to wellness and provides knowledgeable and quality care to those he treats. He enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest.
